Monitor mode support on OpenBSD

Adapters that support monitor mode on OpenBSD using the standard net80211 mechanism:

  • 802.11 interfaces supported by the ath driver (Atheros) - OpenBSD 3.7 and later;

  • 802.11 interfaces supported by the atw driver (adapters using the ADMtek ADM8211 802.11 chipset) - OpenBSD 3.7 and later;

  • 802.11 interfaces supported by the ral driver (adapters using the Ralink Technology RT2500 chipset) - OpenBSD 3.7 and later;
    (MediaTek buys Ralink )

  • 802.11 interfaces supported by the rtw driver (adapters using the Realtek RTL8180 802.11 chipset) - OpenBSD 3.7 and later.
