Medium Access Control (MAC) for LTE

This protocol is layer 2 of the LTE air interface (connecting an LTE UE with an eNodeB).

The MAC-LTE dissector is fully functional. However, at the moment there is only support for the DCT2000 file format.

MAC-LTE statistics can be viewed in a window (see Telephony | LTE MAC ...)


Preference Settings

  • Expect single RAR bodies. This controls whether or not a full MAC PDU will be present for an RA-RNTI, or just a single RAR body. Default is FALSE.
  • Warn if reserved bits are not 0. This controls whether or not expert info should be displayed if reserved bits are non-zero. Default is currently TRUE.

You cannot directly filter MAC-LTE protocol frames while capturing.
